How to sell on TikTok in Tunisia without TikTok Shop

TikTok Shop in Tunisia: where things stand in 2026

TikTok Shop opens market by market. TikTok's official Seller Center list, updated in June 2026, names Indonesia, Ireland, Malaysia, Mexico, the Philippines, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United States and Vietnam. In May 2026 TikTok also announced Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and Poland from 15 June, joining France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain and the UK. Tunisia is on none of these lists.

So at the time of writing (September 2026), a Tunisian seller cannot open a TikTok Shop to sell in Tunisia: no cart and no built-in checkout.

What TikTok allows in Tunisia, and what it blocks

Automated DMs go through the TikTok Business Messaging API, which TikTok does not offer in the United States, the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom. Tunisia is not on that list: automated DMs work there, as long as the buyer opens the conversation.

The sales flow, from comment to parcel

• The video: show the product in use, state the price and end with one clear instruction: “To order, send us ‘commande’ in DM.”

The messages to prepare

• Recap after the call, sent by you: “Confirmed: [product], [size], total [amount] TND including delivery, delivered to [city]. Please keep your phone on for the courier.”

Keywords to plan for: French, Tunisian Arabic and Franco-Arabic

Not every buyer types “commande”. Add the words your customers really use; ChattyFlow's “Words people commented” list shows what they type under your videos.

• In DMs, separate keywords with commas; the Arabic comma « ، » works too. The keyword has to appear as written, so add several spellings (n7eb, n7ebb, nheb) and a version without accents.
• In comments, pick one main word and add the others as variants, or switch on “React to every comment”. Comment matching ignores accents and punctuation and tolerates small typos.
• Write Arabic keywords without shadda or vowel marks: customers rarely type them.

Cash on delivery: confirm before you ship

Without TikTok Shop there is no built-in online payment, so most buyers pay the courier. The real risk is refused or uncollected parcels, and the best protection is a phone call before every shipment.

• Call the number you received in DM and have the buyer confirm the product, the size and the total including delivery.
• Check the governorate, the city and a clear landmark (pharmacy, school, mosque…) so the courier finds the address first time.
• Do not ship an order you could not confirm.

Returns and fake orders: keep a record

Some orders fall through: a number that never answers, an incomplete address, a refused parcel. Record each one so you learn from it.

• The Leads tab lists every account that triggered one of your TikTok automations, with the automation and the post it came from.
• Mark each lead Sold, Returned (or refunded) or Cancelled, and rate the experience: good, neutral or bad. Over time you see which videos bring real buyers.
• Warning signs: details that change from one message to the next, or an order “for a friend” with no number for that friend. When in doubt, confirm by phone first.
• Never post a customer's name or number in a comment, even after a refused parcel.

The rules, and what ChattyFlow will not do

Is TikTok Shop available in Tunisia?

Not at the time of writing: TikTok's official market lists (Seller Center, June 2026, and the European expansion of May 2026) do not include Tunisia. Tunisian sellers use comments, DMs and cash on delivery instead.
