AI FAQ for your website that answers, then captures the lead
ChattyFlow team · Updated
ChattyFlow's FAQs Engine replaces your website's static FAQ. Visitors tap your questions or ask their own; it answers only from your knowledge base, says so when the answer isn't there, and offers a personal reply that captures the lead. It runs only on websites you have verified, on a Growth or Business plan.
What the FAQs Engine does, and its limits
The FAQs Engine is a block you paste where your old FAQ list was: your questions as one-tap buttons, plus a box where visitors type or say their own. It uses your page's font and text colour, with no floating bubble; its interface is in English, French or Arabic, and replies come from the same AI agent as ChattyFlow's website chat. Its limits:
- It answers only from your knowledge base: your website, documents, notes and saved questions. Each reply is checked against the question; when your material has no answer, the visitor reads: "I don't have enough verified information to answer that properly, and I won't guess."
- It loads only on websites your account has verified.
- One network address can send 120 requests an hour. People sharing a connection share that allowance, and past it the block shows an error until the next hour.
- It needs a Growth plan or Business. New accounts get a 14-day trial.
Before and after: from a static FAQ to a captured lead
A static FAQ answers the questions you thought of. The FAQs Engine answers the one the visitor has, and when it cannot, the question becomes a conversation with you instead of a dead end.
| Moment | Static FAQ section | ChattyFlow FAQs Engine |
|---|---|---|
| Question not on your list | Visitor scrolls, gives up or emails you | They type it and get an answer from your material |
| Material doesn't cover it | Nothing happens | "I won't guess", then: "Would you like one of us to answer you personally?" |
| Visitor says yes | They hunt for a contact page | Full name, then email or phone, each read back and confirmed |
| What you get | Nothing, unless they write | A Website FAQs lead with the question and consent, plus an email alert |
| What you learn | Nothing | The question, listed in Questions the agent could not answer |
Which questions to seed first
Drafts carry over questions you already publish, so the seed is your own material. Start with the questions that decide a purchase, and give every answer its figures and conditions: the block only says what is written.
- Price, and what it includes.
- Delivery or service area, lead times and fees.
- How to order or book, and your opening hours.
- Returns, exchanges and guarantees.
- The questions customers already send you by DM, phone or email.
How drafts are written from your knowledge base
Once your knowledge base has been read, creating the FAQs Engine drafts a first set by itself, and the Write them from my knowledge base button adds more. Each run:
- carries over question-and-answer pairs you already publish, preferring your own FAQ section and home page over blog or marketing pages;
- tidies wording and translates if needed, and is instructed never to write new questions or invent prices, dates, promises or contact details;
- skips a question published without its answer, and stops if your material contains no questions and answers at all;
- adds up to 8 pairs, each screened before saving, in your dashboard's language, under the saved ones, which it never changes.
How you change an answer
The dashboard list shows the questions visitors see; it is for checking, not typing. You change answers at the source:
- Edit your website's FAQ, or the document or note in your knowledge base, then update the knowledge base.
- Answer a missed question once in Questions the agent could not answer: it is saved as an owner-approved answer that the FAQ block, the website chat and the social agent all use.
- Saved pairs are never rewritten. When a published answer changes, delete the FAQs Engine (your knowledge base stays), create it again and paste its new snippet.
Where it runs: only on websites you verified
Paste the snippet where your FAQ section was. It loads only on websites your account has proved it owns: the addresses in your knowledge base are checked automatically, with and without www, so a copied snippet does nothing elsewhere. There is no country restriction.
| Proof of ownership | What to add |
|---|---|
| Snippet or meta tag | The ChattyFlow snippet on your homepage, or <meta name="chattyflow-bot" content="YOUR-KEY"> in its <head> |
| File | A chattyflow.txt file at the root of your site, containing your key |
| DNS record | A TXT record on your domain: chattyflow-bot=YOUR-KEY |
The plan it needs
The FAQs Engine is part of the AI Lead Engine: it needs a Growth plan or Business, and it is included in the 14-day trial. Prices are shown in TND in Tunisia, EUR in the eurozone and USD elsewhere.
| Plan | Price per month (TND, EUR or USD) | Leads per month | FAQs Engine |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 0 | None | Not included |
| Growth 20 | 49 | Up to 20 | Included |
| Growth 75 | 99 | Up to 75 | Included |
| Growth 150 | 199 | Up to 150 | Included |
| Business | On quote | Custom | Included |
What changes when your FAQ can answer
Answers the question they have
Visitors ask in their own words, typed or spoken, and get a reply drawn from your website, documents and notes.
Says so when it doesn't know
No guessing: a question your material does not cover gets an honest reply and lands in your inbox, to answer once.
Turns questions into leads
A visitor who wants more leaves a name and an email or phone number, each confirmed back to them, and you get an email.
Set it up in five steps
- Add your website, documents and notes to your knowledge base, and save your business details.
- Create your FAQs Engine: a first set of questions is drafted from the ones you already publish.
- Choose where the questions sit: inside the chat, above it, below it, or a chat alone.
- Replace your old FAQ list with the snippet, on a website your account has verified.
- Answer what visitors missed in Questions the agent could not answer.
Frequently asked questions
What is an AI FAQ for a website?
An FAQ section that answers the question a visitor actually asks, not only the ones you listed. ChattyFlow's FAQs Engine keeps your questions as one-tap buttons and answers anything else from your knowledge base, and only from it.
What happens when the answer is not in my knowledge base?
The block says it won't guess and offers a personal answer. If the visitor accepts, it takes their name and an email or phone number, reads each back, saves the lead and emails you. The question reaches your inbox either way.
Can I edit the questions and answers?
Not line by line. You change the source: your website's FAQ, a document or note, or a question answered in your inbox. To replace the saved pairs, delete the FAQs Engine and create it again; your knowledge base stays.
Does it work on any website?
On any site where you can paste a script tag, once your account has verified it with the snippet or a meta tag on the homepage, a chattyflow.txt file or a DNS TXT record. On an unverified site the block does not load.
Is there a limit on how many questions visitors can ask?
Yes: 120 requests an hour per network address. Typed questions, voice clips and contact details each count, and visitors on one connection share the allowance.
Which plan includes the FAQs Engine?
Every Growth plan, from 49 a month in your currency (TND, EUR or USD), and Business. New accounts can use it during the 14-day trial. On the Free plan the block does not load.
Will visitors know they are talking to an AI?
Yes. A line under the box tells them they are chatting with an AI assistant, as the EU AI Act's transparency rules ask of chatbots from August 2026. Voice recordings are used only to read the words and are never stored.
